Head Counsel, Intellectual Property
Job Description:
• lead strategic initiatives relating to global trademark portfolio management, enforcement, and brand protection
• coordinate with engineering leadership and outside patent counsel to identify patentable inventions and submit patents as appropriate
• build and lead a team of attorneys and legal professionals responsible for handling complex legal matters relating to intellectual property
• act as a key advisor to executives and other senior leaders, providing strategic legal advice, managing risk, and developing legal strategies to support the growth of the company and protect the company’s brand and technology
Requirements:
• 12+ years of experience practicing at a law firm and/or in-house
• deep knowledge of and experience with global trademark and brand enforcement issues and strategies
• working knowledge of patent law to issue spot and coordinate with business teams and outside counsel and experts
• management experience with a strong track record of building, leading, and mentoring teams
• experience with consumer goods, health tech, and digital product ecosystems is desirable
