Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and self-driven Remote Healthcare Customer Service Representative to join our team at arenaflex. As a key member of our customer service team, you will play a vital role in elevating the patient experience by addressing questions, concerns, and correspondence requests via phone in a fast-paced, metric-driven call center environment. Key Responsibilities

  • Receive and resolve up to 60 calls daily, ensuring prompt and efficient issue resolution and providing an exceptional patient experience.
  • Interact directly with patients, affiliate partners, payers, and healthcare providers via phone, demonstrating strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Collect payments and provide guidance on payment options for outstanding balances, ensuring accurate and timely processing of financial transactions.
  • Update accounts with new or corrected information, request itemized statements, and re-bill claims as necessary, maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records.
  • Explain medical bills, identify deductibles, coinsurance, copays, and other patient financial responsibilities, ensuring patients have a clear understanding of their financial obligations.
  • Utilize analytical thinking for account research and reconciliation, resolving complex issues and ensuring accurate resolution of patient concerns.
  • Manage all interactions in a positive, caring manner, demonstrating empathy and understanding in all patient interactions.
  • Perform specialized tasks as assigned by the manager and/or supervisor, contributing to the overall success of the customer service team.

Essential Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must possess:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 2 years' healthcare experience, with preferred experience in medical billing and direct patient contact in a call center environment.
  • Technical proficiency, with the ability to navigate multiple programs and systems.
  • Advanced verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with patients, providers, and other stakeholders.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with patients and colleagues.
  • Professional maturity and sound judgment, with the ability to make informed decisions and prioritize tasks effectively.

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications are preferred:

  • 2 years of medical billing experience, with exposure to insurance billing and medical terminology.
  • Direct patient contact experience in a call center environment.
  • Written and verbal fluency in both English and Spanish.
