Job Summary

Under moderate supervision, the Senior Data Analyst will plan and execute cycles and arrangements related to a wide variety of informational indexes utilized for data/text mining, analysis, and business intelligence. The successful candidate will apply statistical analysis procedures to inspect structured and unstructured data from multiple disparate sources, gaining insights into key business issues and expectations. With a strong foundation in data analysis, statistical modeling, and emerging technologies, you will drive business outcomes by providing data-driven insights and strategic recommendations to management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop data analysis plans, from initial concept to production, to enable informed business decisions
  • Apply statistical analysis procedures to inspect structured and unstructured data from multiple sources, identifying trends and patterns
  • Utilize current and emerging technologies to assess trends and develop significant insights and recommendations to management
  • Communicate results to a broad range of audiences, including senior management, through effective written and oral presentations
  • Mentor junior staff members and work collaboratively on cross-functional projects and initiatives
  • Present findings and recommendations to management, driving business outcomes through data-driven insights

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a quantitative discipline, such as Mathematics, Engineering, Operations Research, Economics, or Finance
  • At least 3 years of work experience in estimation and analysis, quantitative business problem-solving, operations research, marketing analysis, simulation development, or predictive analysis
  • Proficiency in analysis software and applications, including Microsoft Excel, SQL, and data visualization tools
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, with the ability to present complex data insights to non-technical audiences

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience or coursework with Agile methodologies, such as Scrum or Kanban
  • Experience with the following: requirements gathering; probability and statistics; TSQL/PLSQL; Python or R; mathematical modeling; discrete event simulation
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Power BI, Alteryx, or other data visualization tools
  • Knowledge of automation, revenue analysis, and basic accounting principles
  • Experience working with large datasets, data warehousing, and data governance
