Position Summary American Mortgage Bank is hiring a Secondary Markets Analyst to support the daily execution and oversight of our best efforts secondary operations. This role is a mix of lock desk execution, investor pipeline coordination, and performance analysis. We are looking for someone who can confidently manage locks and extensions, while also helping us identify trends, protect margins, and improve pricing discipline across the organization. This position is ideal for someone with a few years of secondary experience who is ready to grow into a larger role, bring structure to the process, and help improve the overall flow between our loan pipeline and investor delivery. Key Responsibilities Lock Desk + Execution • Manage daily lock activity including locks, extensions, relocks, renegotiations, and lock policy support • Maintain accuracy across lock terms, pricing, and investor guideline application • Support production teams with clear answers and timely execution Investor Pipeline + Delivery Support • Monitor and manage the brokered loan pipeline to ensure files stay accurate and current in the LOS • Maintain consistency between internal loan status and investor-side status to prevent funding and purchase delays • Assist with purchase advices and post-close secondary follow-through as needed Margin Management + Trend Analysis • Analyze pricing trends, concessions, lock behavior, and fallout patterns to identify opportunities for improvement • Partner with leadership to recommend adjustments to pricing practices, concessions, or secondary guardrails • Help tighten execution and reduce avoidable losses while keeping the process practical for the field Investor Relationships + Maintenance • Support investor relationship management including approvals, sign-ups, renewals, and required documentation • Track investor updates and communications to ensure internal practices stay aligned • Help maintain organized, consistent investor documentation and secondary procedures Process Improvement + Documentation • Help build and improve secondary processes, procedures, and daily workflow standards • Maintain clear internal resources and documentation for consistency and training support Systems + Tools • Work within MeridianLink Mortgage (formerly LQB) and Price My Loan for daily pipeline and pricing management • Ensure clean, accurate data and consistent secondary tracking Qualifications • 2+ years of experience in mortgage secondary, lock desk, pricing, or investor delivery support preferred • Strong understanding of best efforts secondary execution (locks, extensions, renegotiations, delivery tracking) • Detail-oriented with the ability to stay organized in a fast-moving, deadline-driven environment • Comfortable analyzing trends and speaking up when something isn’t adding up • Strong communication skills, able to support field teams while maintaining clear guardrails • Experience using MeridianLink Mortgage (LQB) and/or Price My Loan is a plus • Must be able to work independently and take ownership of the workflow with confidence Compensation This role is expected to align with a mid-level skill set and experience.
