Regulatory Compliance Attorney – Professional Licensing

Position Overview The Regulatory Compliance Attorney – Professional Licensing ensures AFI’s compliance with all professional licensing requirements across multiple states. This role manages licensing programs, monitors regulatory changes, and mitigates risks to maintain uninterrupted operations. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and experienced in multi-jurisdictional compliance. Key Responsibilities • Manage Licensing: Centralize and oversee all professional licenses; ensure timely applications and renewals. • Monitor Regulations: Track state/federal licensing laws; update policies and advise leadership. • Handle Audits: Prepare for audits; respond to inquiries and resolve compliance issues. • Mitigate Risk: Identify gaps; implement corrective actions to prevent disruptions. • Develop Policies & Train: Create compliance SOPs; train staff on licensing requirements. • Collaborate Across Teams: Work with HR and Operations to verify credentials and support onboarding. • Act as Liaison: Serve as primary contact with state boards and regulatory agencies. • Maintain Records: Keep accurate license documentation; provide regular compliance reports. Qualifications • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. • Active license to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction. • Minimum 7+ years of experience in regulatory compliance or professional licensing law, preferably in real estate or property management. • Strong knowledge of multi-state licensing requirements and compliance programs. • Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills. • Must provide 2–3 professional references.
