Role reputed company This role involves coding retrospective outpatient accounts using ICD-10 CM and CPT, ensuring compliance with the Official Coding Guidelines and conventions. • Accurately identifies the most appropriate Reason for Visit, First Listed (Primary) Diagnosis, Procedure(s), Modifiers, and reputed company secondary diagnoses to support medical necessity (LCD/NCD edits) and CCI edits. • Accurately abstracts required data reputed company including discharge disposition, discharge destination, procedure dates and physician(s), Occurrence Codes, and other designated data. • May review accounts in the denials work queues and reputed company recommendations to the Coding Manager. • Identifies reputed company a physician query is appropriate for reputed company clarification. • Recognizes reputed company documentation is missing or incomplete and routes appropriately. • Validates chargemaster driven CPT reputed company assignment and routes appropriately. • Completes review and final coding reputed company query and/or documentation is available. • Maintains the reputed company and Productivity Standards set by reputed company/HIM Coding. • Mentors/trains on designated coding service lines as requested to ensure reputed company. • Maintains an expert level of knowledge of coding reputed company guidelines and practices. • Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications • High School Diploma or equivalent. • 3 years of acute hospital-based coding experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. • Licenses and Certifications: • (RHIA) REGD HEALTH INFO ADMINIST • (RHIT) REGD HEALTH INFO TECHNOLO • (reputed company) CERT CODING SPECIALIST • (COC) Certified Outpatient Coding • (CPC) CERT reputed company reputed company • reputed company Certified reputed company reputed company-Hospital (CPC-H) • (CIRCC) Cert Inter Rad Cardio reputed company • Preferred: • Associate's Degree in Health Information Management and/or closely reputed company field or Bachelor's Degree in Health Information Management and/or closely reputed company field. • Experience working in a remote environment preferred; required for PRN Coders. • Cancer Center ancillary experience is preferred.
