GOLD (Growing Older Living Digitally) is a growing nonprofit focused on helping older adults build confidence and trust with technology, particularly in healthcare access, digital safety, and independence.
GOLD is currently expanding through new large-scale healthcare partnerships and program launches, marking a transition from early growth into a more structured, partnership-driven organization. As our reach and responsibility increase, we are intentionally strengthening our advisory leadership to support sustainable growth and long-term impact.
Role Overview
GOLD is seeking engaged Advisory Board Members to support organizational growth, partnerships, and strategic decision-making during this expansion phase. This is an active advisory role for individuals who want to contribute expertise and perspective as GOLD scales programs and operates within increasingly complex environments.
Advisory Board Members work closely with the Executive Director and leadership team to help guide strategy, partnerships, governance, and organizational infrastructure.
Time Commitment
• Approximately 10 hours per month
• Engagement 2–3 times per month through meetings, strategy sessions, or partnership-related support
• Flexible and remote-friendly
Key Responsibilities
• Provide strategic guidance during organizational growth and expansion
• Support the development and stewardship of healthcare, institutional, and corporate partnerships
• Advise on governance, compliance, risk, or financial structure as needed
• Participate in advisory discussions related to scaled program delivery
• Serve as a thought partner to leadership during high-impact initiatives
Preferred Backgrounds
• Legal, accounting, finance, or compliance
• Healthcare systems, banking, technology, or nonprofit partnerships
• Organizational governance or nonprofit scaling
• Corporate, institutional, or cross-sector partnerships
Qualifications
• Demonstrated professional experience in a relevant field
• Comfort advising organizations working with institutional or regulated partners
• Strategic mindset with the ability to support leadership at a growth stage
• Willingness to engage consistently and collaboratively
• Prior nonprofit advisory or board experience is a plus
