Job Overview
As a Remote Customer Service Representative at arenaflex, you will be responsible for communicating with borrowers regarding federal student loan programs. Your primary duties will include receiving inbound calls, making outbound calls, and providing the highest level of customer service experience to our clients. You will be trained to resolve customer inquiries, take loan payments, and offer repayment options to student loan borrowers. This is a hybrid role that requires you to work from home and occasionally visit our office in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond to incoming borrower calls, chats, and make outbound calls in a friendly and professional manner
- Counsel and inform borrowers of their repayment options, deferments, and forbearance eligibility, take payments, and update the borrower's account in an efficient manner
- Locate needed information and minimize the time borrowers would be put on hold
- Maintain the security and privacy of the borrower to protect both the borrower and our partners
- Work an 8-hour shift with a one 1-hour lunch and two 15-minute breaks
- Demonstrate strong computer skills and ability to multitask (type while talking)
Qualifications and Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must meet the following essential qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent, some college or bachelor's degree preferred
- Ability to pass a pre-employment cognitive and personality assessment
- Must be able to obtain a Federal 5C Security Clearance and credit check
- Must live in or near the Dallas-Fort Worth area
- Excellent organization, written, and verbal communication skills
- Ability to multitask (type while talking)
- Must have access to home internet with at least 10 mg capacity and router for ethernet cord
- Must have a location in home that is free of noise and distraction
Preferred Qualifications

- Previous experience in customer service or a related field
- Knowledge of federal student loan programs and repayment options
- Experience working in a remote or hybrid environment
