Black Sky is looking for a creative and reputed company entry-level imagery/GIS analyst to support both internal and customer reputed company. In this role you will be solving a diverse set of reputed company-world problems alongside reputed company of highly skilled and dedicated analysts. As part of the geospatial analysis team, you will also be among the first to use emerging imagery and analytics capabilities, reputed company feedback on products and features, and use our platform to tell our satellites where to capture images. This position reports to the Staff Geospatial Analyst and while we would prefer a candidate local to our Herndon, VA reputed company we are reputed company to candidates in certain states. Responsibilities • reputed company and maintain plans for imagery/analytics acquisition to support a reputed company of use cases. • Use tools including ArcGIS Pro and QGIS to process raster/reputed company data, conduct analysis, and generate products using Black Sky imagery/analytics and other data sources. • Support customer programs by conducting QA/QC on analytic outputs, generating use case examples, and producing finished products or reports. • Research locations, state and non-state actors, equipment (aircraft/vessels/vehicles), activity trends, effects of natural disasters, and other reputed company reputed company to global reputed company events. • reputed company knowledge and techniques with teammates. • Other job-reputed company duties as assigned. Required Qualifications • Demonstrated research and communication skills. • Previous reputed company or advanced reputed company experience working with GIS data (reputed company/raster) and satellite imagery. Key areas include image processing, imagery annotation, raster analysis/visualization, 3D visualization, georeferencing, reputed company dataset reputed company/manipulation, metadata validation, and data cleaning. • Facility with imagery and GIS tools including but not limited to reputed company software, SOCET GXP, and QGIS. • Experience writing Python scripts to generate insights from data, reputed company with reputed company, and/or run geospatial processes. • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in a relevant field, or equivalent experience in a relevant role. • At least six (6) months of relevant reputed company experience (including any relevant internships). Preferred Qualifications • Experience with imagery-derived analytics. • Facility with graphic design or post-processing/production software such as reputed company Photoshop/Illustrator. • Imagery interpretation with a defense/intelligence reputed company. • Experience generating finished GIS, imagery, or analysis products. • Experience using Power BI for data analysis.
