Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Scientist to join our team at arenaflex. As a Senior Data Scientist, you will be responsible for applying advanced data science, predictive analytics, and machine learning techniques to provide insights and actionable recommendations. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including finance, researchers, software developers, and business leaders, to outline product requirements and provide analytical support. Key Responsibilities

  • Build models and tools using technical expertise in machine learning, statistical modeling, risk and decision theory, and other quantitative methods.
  • Innovate by adapting to new modeling techniques and procedures, and apply analytical rigor and statistical techniques to analyze large quantities of data.
  • Develop significant analytic solutions to understand business insights behind large datasets, and build recommendations and optimization algorithmic designs.
  • Program using tech stack Python, PySpark, Matplotlib, TensorFlow, PyTorch, and other relevant tools.
  • Perform machine learning techniques, including supervised and unsupervised algorithms, to build predictive models and prescriptive solutions to support various business use cases.
  • Build algorithms such as decision trees, regression, XGBoost, K-means, and anomaly detection, and utilize Cloud Computing on Azure/Databricks and querying in Snowflake.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to outline product requirements and provide analytical support, and communicate verbally and in writing to business clients and management teams with diverse levels of technical expertise.

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 4 years of experience in data science, machine learning, quantitative, or computational capabilities, or a High School/GED and a minimum of 7 years of experience in data science, machine learning, quantitative, or computational capabilities.
  • An M.S. in STEM, Computer Science, Data Systems, Physics, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, Machine Learning, or a similar field.
  • At least 4 years of experience working with large-scale, complex datasets to create/optimize machine learning, predictive, forecasting, and/or optimization models.
  • Advanced experience in SQL, Python, PySpark, or other languages, and advanced degree skill in exploratory data analysis, feature engineering, and selection, detecting patterns, learning distributions, visualizing results, and extracting insights to support businesses in making informed data-driven decisions.
  • Experience using decision trees, building classifiers, and supervised learning techniques (linear and logistic regression, time series modeling, generalized linear models, decision trees, support vector machines, etc.) and unsupervised learning techniques (K-means, hierarchical clustering, association rules, principal components).

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred candidates will have:

  • A Ph.D. in STEM, Computer Science, Data Systems, Physics, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, Machine Learning, or a similar field.
  • Experience working with IoT and Edge AI, and Reinforcement Learning.
  • Experience in the Healthcare industry.
