AI Agent Integration Architect
Description
• Hippocratic AI is at the forefront of revolutionizing healthcare through advanced generative AI, offering a unique system capable of safe, autonomous clinical conversations with patients. We have developed proprietary Large Language Models (LLMs) within our Polaris constellation, achieving an exceptional accuracy rate exceeding 99.9%. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated AI Agent Integration Architect to play a pivotal role in embedding our cutting-edge AI agents into the fabric of the healthcare ecosystem. This role is instrumental in bridging the gap between Hippocratic AI's innovative technology and the complex systems of our diverse partners, including providers, payers, pharmaceutical companies, and health technology firms.
• As an AI Agent Integration Architect, you will be the technical lead responsible for the end-to-end integration lifecycle for our most significant clients. This encompasses the entire journey from meticulously gathering client requirements and designing robust integration solutions to developing, rigorously testing, deploying, and providing ongoing support for seamless connectivity. Your primary objective will be to ensure our AI agents integrate flawlessly into client systems, thereby unlocking new levels of value and operational efficiency.
• You will be instrumental in designing, building, and maintaining sophisticated healthcare data integrations. This involves leveraging your expertise in technologies such as Python, HL7 v2, FHIR, REST APIs, and SQL to facilitate real-time, reliable data exchange. A key focus will be on accelerating customer go-live timelines by developing efficient and effective integration strategies.
• A critical aspect of this role involves the creation of reusable integration components and standardized templates. These assets will be crucial for reducing delivery times, enhancing implementation consistency across various projects, and ensuring a scalable integration framework.
• You will be the first line of defense for troubleshooting and resolving production issues with the utmost urgency and precision. Your ability to diagnose complex problems and implement swift solutions will directly contribute to faster recovery times and elevated customer satisfaction, reinforcing our commitment to reliability.
• This position demands a proactive approach to leading the creation of deep integrations between Hippocratic AI's platform and core healthcare systems. This includes Electronic Health Records (EHRs), comprehensive care management platforms, and health information exchanges. The goal is to ensure our AI agents are not just integrated, but are naturally embedded within existing clinical workflows, enhancing usability and adoption.
• You will oversee the development of robust APIs and middleware solutions designed to enable scalable, secure, and efficient data sharing across a multitude of healthcare applications and complex data networks.
• Direct collaboration with clients and our offshore integration teams will be a daily occurrence. You will work closely with these stakeholders to establish clear alignment on architectural designs, project timelines, and the technical execution plan, ensuring a unified approach to integration.
• Ensuring that all integrations strictly adhere to stringent healthcare compliance standards, including HIPAA, the ONC Cures Act, and TEFCA, is paramount. Your work will directly contribute to maintaining the trust and safeguarding the sensitive patient data that forms the core of our operations.
• Beyond integration execution, you will translate complex business and clinical requirements into scalable, testable integration flows. This strategic thinking is vital for the rapid and successful deployment of AI agents in real-world healthcare settings.
• You will coordinate implementation efforts and quality assurance processes with offshore teams, maintaining project velocity while upholding the highest standards of quality and reliability.
• Developing forward-thinking integration roadmaps and strategies is key to expanding interoperability. This includes focusing on major EHR systems like Epic, Cerner, and Meditech, as well as integrating with a wide array of third-party vendors, thereby increasing the reach and overall value proposition of our platform.
• Continuous evaluation and adoption of emerging standards and technologies within the healthcare interoperability space will ensure Hippocratic AI remains at the cutting edge of innovation.
• Proactive monitoring of live integrations is essential to identify and resolve potential performance bottlenecks before they impact end-users. This preventative approach minimizes disruption and maximizes system uptime.
• During critical incidents, you will manage client communications with transparency and professionalism, ensuring confidence and maintaining strong partner relationships.
• Maintaining comprehensive and detailed documentation, including interface specifications, data flow diagrams, and architectural blueprints, is crucial for supporting scalability, knowledge transfer, and cross-team alignment.
• This role requires a strong ownership mindset, with a keen focus on reliability, scalability, and the overall quality of the integration solutions delivered.

• Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in healthcare integration, with a deep specialization in HL7 v2, FHIR, and API-based interoperability.
• Proven hands-on experience with major integration engines such as Epic Bridges, InterSystems Ensemble, Rhapsody, Mirth Connect, or Corepoint.
• Strong, practical knowledge of FHIR APIs, SMART on FHIR, and RESTful web services.
• Extensive experience working directly with Electronic Health Records (EHRs) like Epic, Cerner, Meditech, Allscripts, and other third-party health systems.
• Familiarity with EHR-specific APIs (e.g., Epic, Cerner, AthenaHealth) and their integration capabilities.
• Proficiency in scripting and development languages essential for integration tasks, including Python, Java, or JavaScript.
• Demonstrated comfort and expertise in working with RESTful APIs, JSON data formats, and SQL databases.
• A deep and practical understanding of healthcare regulatory compliance, including HIPAA, HL7 standards, and related regulations.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills with a proven ability to diagnose and troubleshoot complex data exchange and integration issues.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• A strong ownership mindset, characterized by meticulous attention to reliability, scalability, and the overall quality of integration solutions.
