Environmental Consultant Needed – 3-4 Page Causation Memo (Petroleum Impacts, USTs, Chemicals, Operations) Project Overview We are seeking an experienced Environmental Consultant with strong technical writing skills to prepare a 2 page causation memo that clearly and defensibly ties observed petroleum impacts to on‑site storage tanks, chemicals, and historical/ongoing operations. This memo will be used for internal decision‑making, insurance communication, and potential regulatory follow‑up. Deliverable A detailed and compressive, professional causation memo that includes: 1. Causation Analysis • Clear explanation of how identified petroleum impacts relate to: • aboveground storage tanks (USTs/ASTs) • Stored chemicals and petroleum products • Operational practices, historical usage, and site activities • Discussion of likely release mechanisms, timing, and pathways • Summary of supporting evidence (sampling data, site history, operational records, etc.) 2. Remedial Scope & Cost Basis • High‑level remedial approach based on the identified impacts • Conceptual scope of work (e.g., excavation, soil removal, groundwater treatment, monitoring) • Order‑of‑magnitude cost basis or cost drivers • Any assumptions or data gaps that influence cost or scope 3.
