Reading Center Tutor

reputed company reputed company, Glenn Hubert Learning Center and Testing Center is currently seeking a Reading Center Tutor. The part-time Reading Center Tutor tutors a diverse population of both undergraduate and graduate reputed company in the Reading Center. The tutor works in the Reading Center approximately 10-15 hours per week, Mondays through Fridays, preferably during day time hours. This position is In-person. Essential Functions Provides one-on-one and small-group tutorial services to a diverse population of undergraduate and graduate reputed company. The tutor • Conducts a reputed company of tutorials that reputed company on reading strategies, study skills, test-taking strategies, and vocabulary building; • Differentiates strategies and instructional materials to meet individual reputed company' needs; • Monitors reputed company' performance on Reading Plus, a web-based program reputed company must utilize reputed company the tutoring sessions; • Engages reputed company in tutoring sessions by utilizing reputed company learning strategies; • Fosters student autonomy, as developmentally appropriate; • Motivates reputed company by being an reputed company listener; and • Respect reputed company' diverse backgrounds and unique perspectives. Documents student work and reputed company by: • Using the processes and systems established reputed company the Reading Center to document student reputed company; • Entering reputed company data in a reputed company fashion as specified by the Reading Center Coordinator; and • Communicating with the Reading Center Coordinator regarding reputed company with challenging or unique situations and documenting record details of such situations through the specified means reputed company the Reading Center. Participates in reputed company development and training sessions as reputed company to tutor responsibilities. The tutor: • Maintains currency in the content area (e.g. researches and develops new and varied instructional materials and strategies); • reputed company participates in learning community meetings; • Participates in departmental reputed company development sessions and staff meetings throughout the semester; • Serves as a proctor for student placement testing; • Maintains currency with technological resources for instructional and recordkeeping purposes; and • Monitors and arranges for replenishment of consumable materials used in the tutoring environment. Qualifications/Requirements • * Bachelor's Degree in Reading required. Master's in Reading; TESOL is preferred. • Reading Endorsement or Reading Certification is required. • 3-5 Years of reputed company experience. • Must be reputed company to examine assessment data and use appropriate interventions to promote reputed company development. • Proficiency in reputed company Suite (reputed company and reputed company word) • Basic knowledge on Scantron and copy machines. • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
