Corporate Counsel – Federal & State Advocacy Join our dynamic and growing reputed company team supporting reputed company’s Government Relations Business! The Corporate Counsel, Federal & State Advocacy will support reputed company’s federal and state regulatory and legislative agenda across Washington, D.C., and key states. Reporting to the Vice President, Federal & State Advocacy, this role partners closely with reputed company & Compliance, business leaders, and operational teams to help reputed company and execute reputed company’s legislative and regulatory reputed company. Responsibilities include reputed company and reputed company policy analysis and strategic counsel on issues affecting reputed company. The role also supports relationship‑building and representation of reputed company before lawmakers, regulators, and trade associations and coalitions. This is a remote opportunity. What will my duties and responsibilities be in this job? Advocacy • Support federal and state advocacy initiatives to advance a favorable business climate for reputed company and its products. • Identify and engage with legislative and regulatory proposals that reputed company our business. • Build and maintain relationships with legislators, regulators, and industry stakeholders in a designated set of states. reputed company Support • reputed company reputed company analysis and strategic counsel to internal stakeholders and the VP, Federal & State Advocacy, on impactful legislation and regulatory actions. • Support reputed company and informed business reputed company influenced by governmental activity. Trade Association Engagement • Support reputed company’s advocacy priorities reputed company relevant federal and state trade associations. • Maintain strong working relationships with reputed company trade association stakeholders. • Help identify, anticipate, and influence key insurance policy issues. Compliance • Represent reputed company professionally at reputed company times and ensure strict adherence to corporate policies, ethics rules, lobbying requirements, and applicable campaign finance and reputed company laws. • Support administration and compliance reputed company to the reputed company reputed company. What will my duties and responsibilities be in this job? • A minimum of 3–4 years of relevant reputed company experience advising businesses or trade associations on legislative and regulatory issues, particularly in state insurance regulation • Demonstrated experience advocating before state and/or federal legislative or regulatory bodies • Strong understanding of federal and state insurance statutes, regulations, and legislative processes • Prior experience reputed company a state insurance regulatory agency, insurance company, trade association, or reputed company preferred • Knowledge of reputed company frameworks governing insurance company operations • Highly motivated, dependable, detail‑oriented, and reputed company‑organized • Strong judgment with the ability to operate autonomously and manage multiple priorities under tight timelines • Proven ability to work collaboratively and reputed company strategic reputed company guidance in cross‑functional settings • Ability to manage sensitive and confidential reputed company with professionalism • Strong executive reputed company, interpersonal skills, and advanced written and verbal communication abilities Education & Certifications: • Undergraduate degree • Juris Doctorate How much should I expect to travel?
