About the Role We are seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant based in Puerto Rico to join our client accounting services team. This role will manage daily accounting functions, collaborate with our Philippines-based team, and support a portfolio of client accounts. You’ll play a key role in ensuring accurate financials, reconciliations, and reporting. What You’ll Do • Collaborate with our offshore team to manage client accounting tasks. • Lead the month-end close process for assigned clients. • Oversee AP, AR, and GL activities to ensure accurate reporting. • Prepare and review financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow). • Maintain balance sheet reconciliations (prepaids, undeposited funds, delivery reconciliations, tips, etc.). • Support compliance with sales tax filings and year-end 1099s. • Review client reporting packages, including cash forecasts and KPIs. • Provide variance analysis and ad hoc reports to highlight insights. What We’re Looking For • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. • Minimum 2 years of general ledger accounting experience. • Strong knowledge of balance sheet reconciliations. • Advanced Excel skills. • Excellent English communication (written & verbal). • Ability to work independently, stay organized, and manage multiple clients. • Willingness to learn, be coached, and coach others as part of a collaborative team. Preferred • Experience working with offshore or outsourced accounting teams. • Understanding of GAAP.
