Senior GIS Developer (Remote from Portugal- Part-time)

Responsibilities: • Design, develop, and maintain GIS-based web and desktop applications using .NET technologies. • Build and integrate spatial services using platforms such as Esri , ArcGIS , and open-source GIS tools. • Develop RESTful APIs and backend services using ASP.NET Core . • Integrate spatial data from various sources including shapefiles, geodatabases, and spatial SQL databases. • Work with spatial databases such as SQL Server (with spatial extensions) and PostgreSQL with PostGIS. • Implement interactive mapping interfaces using JavaScript mapping libraries. • Perform spatial analysis and geoprocessing tasks. • Optimize application performance for handling large geospatial datasets. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including GIS analysts, UI/UX designers, and backend developers. You'll be a great match if you have: • Bachelor’s degree in GIS, Computer Science, Geomatics, or related field. • 3+ years of experience in GIS application development. • Strong proficiency in C# and .NET framework / .NET Core. • Experience working with ArcGIS Enterprise or ArcGIS Online . • Experience developing web services (REST APIs). • Strong knowledge of spatial data concepts, projections, and coordinate systems. • Experience with spatial queries and indexing.
