Regional Support Manager, Aircraft Fueling (Hybrid)
About the position
As the Regional Support Manager, you will directly report to the Director of
Aircraft Fueling. You will be asked to step into interim General Manager
coverage to support vacancies. Your leadership will ensure we are consistent in
delivering safe, caring, dependable, and efficient station operations. You will
participate in other company operations and initiatives as assigned.
As the Regional Support Manager, you will also act as a temporary General
Manager to cover vacancies as assigned to ensure consistent, Safe, Caring,
Dependable, and Efficient station operations for varying periods of time as
required, as well as participate in other Company operations and initiatives as
assigned.
Responsibilities
• Ensure that all employees and business partners understand the importance of safety and require that they conduct themselves in a manner that reflects this value.
• Champion and model exceptional customer service delivery to every customer, every day, aboard every flight.
• Maintain outstanding operational performance through effective leadership during day-to-day operations.
• Work with other operational and planning departments to influence and improve day-to-day
• Drive continuous improvement through effective management and development of processes and procedures to align with UGE’s goals and objectives.
• Foster a culture of employee engagement.
• As needed, lead and direct a team of airport operations staff, including supervisors, coordinators, and support personnel, to ensure efficient and effective operations.
• Act as a liaison for airline representatives, airport authorities, government agencies, and other relevant stakeholders to coordinate operational activities and address any operational challenges.
• Assist and support local teams with New Hire Orientation to ensure a welcoming and successful onboarding experience for new UGE team members.
Requirements
• 4+ years of airport operations experience
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience
• Experience managing airport operations across multiple locations
• Experience supporting station transitions, start-ups, and new Other Airline (OA) contracts
• Experience working with frontline employees in a union environment
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate, coach, and work in teams
• Analytical thinking, ability to provide and understand performance data, goal-directed leadership, and service-oriented performance
• Must be flexible to work at stations throughout the U.S. for long periods of time with up to 75% of travel
• May have to cover shifts when necessary, available seven days a week/24 hours a day, including holidays and weekends, to deal with any operational and/or unforeseen situations
• Ability to operate a computer to enter and retrieve data
• Ability to communicate and interact with others in the English language, both oral and written
• Requires ability to use computers and other office equipment
• Requires ability to sit, stand and walk for extended periods of time
• Ability to lift up to 70lbs on a consistent basis
• Ability to pass all pre-screening clearances applicable to position qualifications
