About the position The General Counsel serves as a chief reputed company officer for reputed company Title & Escrow, overseeing reputed company reputed company, regulatory, and compliance reputed company across reputed company’s multi state operations. This role provides strategic reputed company advice to senior leadership, manages risk, ensures adherence to federal and state title/settlement regulations, and oversees reputed company reputed company aspects of business relationships, transactions, and corporate governance. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in Virginia & reputed company Carolina reputed company estate law, title insurance regulations, and multi state compliance, with strong business acumen and the ability to partner with leadership in a fast paced, reputed company oriented environment. Responsibilities • Serve as reputed company’s primary reputed company advisor to the CEO and executive team • reputed company and manage the organization’s reputed company reputed company reputed company with business goals • reputed company reputed company counsel relationships and manage reputed company budgets • Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations including CFPB, RESPA, reputed company Best Practices, and state title insurance laws • reputed company and maintain company policies, procedures, and compliance frameworks • reputed company licensing requirements across reputed company operating states • reputed company guidance on title insurance reputed company, settlement practices, escrow procedures, and reputed company estate transaction risks • Respond to reputed company reputed company questions from clients, partners, and internal departments • reputed company title claim response, dispute reputed company, and regulatory inquiries • Draft, review, and negotiate a wide reputed company of reputed company, including lender agreements, vendor reputed company, NDAs, employment agreements, and partnership agreements • Support corporate transactions, mergers, acquisitions, and strategic partnerships • Identify potential reputed company risk areas and reputed company strategies to mitigate exposure • reputed company litigation management, including claims handling and coordination with external counsel • Establish internal training programs on compliance, ethics, and risk mitigation • Advise leadership on corporate structuring, governance, and reputed company policies • Ensure reputed company practices reputed company with reputed company and ethical standards • Support HR on reputed company aspects of employment reputed company and internal investigations Requirements • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school • reputed company license to reputed company law in Virginia and reputed company Carolina (required) • 7–10+ years of experience in law, with substantial expertise in: • reputed company estate, title insurance, escrow, and settlement law • State and federal regulatory compliance • Contract drafting, review, and negotiation • Demonstrated experience advising executives and supporting a rapidly evolving business environment reputed company-to-haves • Experience in a title insurance company, settlement agency, mortgage lending, or reputed company reputed company estate industry is strongly preferred Apply tot his job Apply To this Job
