This role is in a group that provides monoclonal antibodies, recombinant and native proteins to support reagent manufacturing for in-vitro diagnostics. This position will lead cell line process development activities to express recombinant proteins used as components in manufacture of assay reagents at the Siemens Healthineers Elkhart, IN facility This is a role well suited to an ambitious professional, looking for the next step in their career. As a Sr. Biochemist in the Technical Operations group, you will be responsible for: Employ various cell culture techniques to grow and optimize mammalian cells for protein production according to established procedures. Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot a variety of bioreactors and other equipment for cell growth and antibody production. Work on stable clone selection for CHO cells for recombinant antibody/antigen production and optimize process conditions to improve antibody and antigen yield Develop protocols and perform qualification of new equipment for use in manufacturing Complete feasibility studies and preparation of feasibility reports and necessary documentation to support change projects. Complete production documentation in an accurate and expedient manner aligned with cGDP practices. This position may suit you best if you are familiar with what is below, and would like to do develop your career with Healthineers You are proficient in time management, possess well developed interpersonal skills and exhibit attention to details You have experience in bioprocess and fermentation technology and good aseptic techniques You will utilize your expertise in bioprocess techniques to troubleshoot and resolve problems Required skills to have for the success of this role PhD degree in biology, chemistry or related discipline or BS degree with 3-5 years of industrial experience. The base pay range for this position is: $99,930 - $137,401 Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate. If this is a commission eligible position the commission eligibility will be in accordance with the terms of the Company's plan. Commissions are based on individual performance and/or company performance.
