Epidemiologist (Intermediate Level) – Public Health | Hybrid Location: Phoenix, AZ 85007 Pay Rate: $34/hour Employment Type: Contract Work Model: Hybrid (Primarily Remote) Position Overview "Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an Intermediate Epidemiologist to support disease surveillance, public health investigations, and data analysis. This role focuses on monitoring health trends, identifying outbreaks, and providing data-driven insights to support public health programs and policy decisions. Work Arrangement • Primary Work Location: Remote (5 days/week) • Office Visits: 1–2 times per month as needed • Travel: Occasional travel for meetings or county visits • Mileage Reimbursement: Provided for approved travel Key Responsibilities • Conduct epidemiologic surveillance to monitor diseases, injuries, and health conditions • Investigate disease outbreaks and public health events • Collect, manage, and analyze public health data from multiple sources • Perform statistical analysis and identify health trends and patterns • Develop reports, summaries, and data visualizations (charts, graphs, maps) • Support public health programs with evidence-based recommendations • Maintain public health databases and ensure data quality and accuracy • Collaborate with health organizations, committees, and multidisciplinary teams • Provide epidemiologic expertise to support public health decisions Required Knowledge & Skills • Knowledge of epidemiologic methods and statistical analysis • Experience with data analysis tools and database management • Ability to interpret complex datasets and communicate findings • Strong analytical, communication, and critical-thinking skills Minimum Qualifications • Bachelor’s Degree in Public Health or a related science field + up to 2 years of data analysis experience OR • Master’s Degree (MPH) or related science field (Preferred) Preferred Qualifications • Experience with epidemiologic investigations and surveillance systems • Background in statistical analysis and epidemiologic modeling • Experience with public health databases and data visualization tools • Experience presenting data insights and reports For more details contact at hdavda@navitashealth.com or Call / Text at 516-862-1169.
