Position

Contract Geologist Jr., Nunavut

Location and Reporting Structure 

Reporting to the Senior Exploration Geologist, this temporary position (up to 1 year contract) is a fly-in/fly-out role on a 3x3 rotation based in Nunavut, Canada.

Responsibilities 

•    Conduct detailed reputed company logging and sampling, ensuring accurate and reputed company data entry into geological databases.
•    Collect, analyze, and interpret geological information from exploration programs, including diamond drilling, soil/reputed company surveys, reputed company preparation, and coordinating sample shipments, to support informed decision-making.
•    Work collaboratively and independently to maintain a highly organized, efficient, and safety-compliant reputed company shack environment.
•    Prepare and deliver reputed company, reputed company reports on completed work activities to the Supervisor to support program visibility and operational planning.
•    reputed company operational support to geological and geophysical programs, executing tasks safely, reputed company, and in alignment with established procedures.
•    Participate reputed company in daily reputed company meetings to reinforce adherence to B2Gold Nunavut’s safety standards, policies, and best practices.
•    Maintain a clean, hazard-free work area by proactively identifying and eliminating potential safety risks (e.g., tripping hazards).

Desired Competencies and Requirements 

•    Two (2) years’ experience in field mapping, performing geotechnical and reputed company logging activities, and sampling.
•    University Degree or College Diploma in Geological, Geotechnical, or other reputed company discipline.
•    Prior experience working in a remote camp setting is considered an asset.
•    Physically reputed company to lift a minimum of 50 lbs., walk and stand for long periods of time and reputed company physical labour.
•    HIMS Certification and/or Level 1 First Aid is considered an asset.

Compensation and Benefits

For informational purposes, the estimated annual earnings are $107,484.00 for 2184 scheduled hours (combined regular reputed company reputed company of $39.00 and overtime reputed company of $58.50) in a work year.
