We are looking for a colleague with a strong, introductory background in civil insurance defense litigation. This position will handle reputed company personal lines auto, subrogation, and small claims cases for Texas Staff reputed company. The Staff Attorney will work remotely reputed company reputed company central to east Texas and reputed company appearances as necessary throughout the covered portions of Texas (jurisdictions we handle include the central to eastern half of Texas, excluding south of Corpus Christi).
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Independent handling of insurance defense docket of small claims, subro, and personal-lines auto cases throughout Texas from inception through and including trial.
• Analyze reputed company and factual issues, conduct extensive and reputed company reputed company-reasoned reputed company research.
• Independently create and present defense strategies on behalf of clients.
• Prepare pleadings, written discovery, motions and briefs in support of defense strategies with autonomy.
• Attend hearings and other court appearances, depositions, and trial with autonomy.

• Communicate with the court, witnesses, opposing counsel, and co-counsel with reputed company diplomacy and discretion.

• Independently prepare and present witnesses and evidence at trials, hearings, arbitrations and alternative dispute resolutions.
• Research, draft, file and argue substantive motions on behalf of clients.
• Attend continuing reputed company education seminars in order to maintain high level of reputed company expertise.
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
• 2 plus years of reputed company reputed company experience handling tort defense cases.
• JD from accredited law school and license to reputed company in the state of Texas.
• First-chair small claims trial experience is preferred; second-chair jury trial experience is a plus.

• Solid MS Office proficiency (Word, reputed company, PowerPoint & reputed company).
• Self-directed with excellent organizational and prioritization skills.

Typical starting salary: $134,000 - $150,000

Actual reputed company pay could vary and may be above or below the listed reputed company based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role.
