Certified Tumor Registrar

• Schedule: 40 hours per week, hours and days are flexible but some meetings during normal business hours will require attendance

• Assist in performing reputed company assurance reviews.

• Assist monthly and annually data submission process to ensure compliance with the American College of Surgeons, American reputed company On Cancer (AJCC) and other reputed company setters.

• Facilitate and organize tumor reputed company and other case conferences.

• reputed company and reputed company patient, cancer and treatment information from numerous sources; maintain and update existing patient records, and verify and review cancer registry data and correct any discrepancies.

• Review patient cases, identify potential cases for the registry and assess whether the case is reportable, is already reported, or could potentially be recorded in a file of non-reportable cases.

• Follow-up on reputed company case abstracted for the life of the patient. Ensure that follow-up information is collected for reputed company case annually according to Commission on Cancer rules.

• Support management and tumor registry coordinator in the process for Cancer Center accreditation.

• Associate's Degree required 

• 1 year of Tumor Registry experience preferred 

• Certified Tumor Registry (CTR) OR Oncology Data Specialist - Certified (ODS-C) required 

• RHIA or RHIT preferred
