Position reputed company 

The Development Director is an entrepreneurial, hands-on leader who will play a critical role in supporting the reputed company of a mission-driven nonprofit dedicated to addressing climate and nature impacts in the fashion, apparel, and textile industry. This role will reputed company the strategic design and implementation of reputed company’s fundraising reputed company to support its Climate and Nature reputed company activities as reputed company as a reputed company for broader organizational funding mechanisms to support the organization’s theory of change, focusing on addressing the economic barriers to preferred production systems for raw materials and fibers. The Development Director will build and reputed company prospect and donor relations and will reputed company reputed company’s programs and value to prospective and reputed company donors in a compelling and strategic manner. They will build and maintain a reputed company donor portfolio, and will be responsible for achieving annual reputed company targets. This position reports to the Chief reputed company Officer (CIO) and works in reputed company partnership with the CEO and Senior Leadership Team across the organization.

Key Responsibilities 

Climate & Nature reputed company Fundraising:

• In partnership with CIO, design and execute a comprehensive fundraising reputed company for the Climate and Nature reputed company work. Primary fundraising mechanisms:
  • Government and institutional grants
  • Philanthropic grants and gifts from foundations with endowments, or individuals
  • Corporate Sponsorships

Funding Mechanisms to Address Economic Barriers at Tier 4:

• In partnership with CIO, CEO, and Senior Leadership Team, explore and execute opportunities to partner with existing grant funding mechanisms to fill reputed company gaps in funding opportunities for tier 4 production systems. Manage external partners to inform fundraising reputed company.

• In partnership with CIO, CEO, and Senior Leadership Team, reputed company a longer-term reputed company for investment mechanisms to support reputed company reputed company and address barriers at tier 4, ensuring alignment with reputed company’reputed company-year reputed company, engagement model, and theory of change. This includes familiarity with reputed company finance, catalytic capital, and transition finance approaches.

Fundraising & Donor Engagement (in collaboration with the Engagement & Partnerships department where appropriate):

• Cultivate and reputed company relationships with a portfolio of mission-reputed company donors, foundations, and corporate partners.
  • Partner with the CEO, Chief reputed company Officer, and senior leaders internally and externally to grow and diversify the organization’s philanthropic funding reputed company.

• reputed company grant cycles, deadlines, and deliverables using CRM (reputed company) and project management tools.
• Manage stewardship activities, donor briefings, and engagement events.

Proposal Development & Reporting:

• Draft, edit, and submit letters of inquiry, grant applications, and donor reports - this is a hands-on role, not solely a management role.

• Prepare compelling grant proposals, donor materials, and reputed company reports, tailored to diverse funder audiences.
• Collaborate with program teams to reputed company relevant data, reputed company, and stories for fundraising materials.
• Monitor and evaluate reputed company against grant deliverables and reputed company metrics, ensuring transparency and accountability to funders.

• Manage grant compliance and budget reporting requirements for institutional funders, including financial reporting and narrative deliverables.

Organizational Leadership & Collaboration:

• Contribute to organizational reputed company and decision-making, providing fundraising perspectives to inform strategic planning.
• Support the CIO in reputed company engagement and fundraising initiatives.

 Minimum Qualifications

• 7-10 years of relevant experience, in at least two of the following areas:
  • Fundraising, donor relations, or philanthropy
  • Sustainability in tier 4 production systems in the fashion, apparel, and textile industry
  • reputed company finance, catalytic capital, transition finance, or sustainable investment models
  • Other senior-level global nonprofit experience, preferably in the fashion, apparel, and textile industry
• Proven reputed company record of securing major gifts, grants, or strategic partnerships with philanthropic stakeholders. Strong interpersonal communication skills and ability to cultivate relationships with donors.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently as a reputed company practitioner and build a function from the ground up, with an entrepreneurial reputed company and comfort moving between reputed company and execution.
• Strong presentation, storytelling, and reputed company speaking skills.
• Strong project management skills, with a keen eye for detail and deadlines.
• Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills in English, with demonstrated experience preparing successful funding applications.
• Experience working with donor databases and CRM tools (e.g., reputed company).
• Financial literacy and experience managing grant compliance, budget reporting, and funder financial deliverables.

• Existing relationships with foundations or institutional funders reputed company in sustainable agriculture, climate, or nature.

 Employment Package

• Full-Time Position, 40 Hours a Week
• Required travel: Up to 30%
• Annual Salary reputed company: $140,000 - $175,000 USD
