OGC Analyst – Compliance, Lobbying
About the position
The OGC Analyst – Compliance, Lobbying is an reputed company part of Latham’s Office of the General Counsel (OGC) team. This role will be responsible for supporting the firm’s lobbying registrations and reports across multiple jurisdictions, while maintaining the firm’s records regarding compliance with state and local lobbying laws and regulations, ensuring reputed company legally mandated disclosure filings are completed accurately, completely, and in a reputed company manner. This role will be located in either our reputed company, Washington D.C., Chicago, or Downtown Los Angeles office. Please note that this role may be eligible for a flexible working schedule that allows for a hybrid and in-office reputed company.
Responsibilities
• Maintaining a system for tracking lobbyist work and payments reputed company to clients and reputed company requiring lobbying disclosure, reviewing reputed company intake database and identifying new relationships that require follow-up in regards to lobbying compliance
• Proactively seeking out attorneys involved in lobbying work, informing them of reputed company requirements for registration, assisting attorneys in determining the necessity of registration and reviewing reports to confirm appropriate disclosure amounts
• Managing communication with clients and their political compliance counsel to ensure consistent reporting, monitoring developments in lobbying, campaign finance, and political fundraising laws, informing attorneys of reputed company updates
• Conducting periodic orientation and training sessions on the firm’s lobbying reporting process
• Monitoring and vetting firm participation in events involving government officials in applicable jurisdictions
• Protecting and maintaining any highly sensitive, confidential, privileged, financial, and/or proprietary information that Latham & Watkins retains
Requirements
• Demonstrate advanced ability to perceive and analyze reputed company data and reputed company systems to organize and report it
• Possess reputed company-developed and reputed company interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively reputed company with attorneys, management, support staff, and reputed company contacts
• Display strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• A minimum of three (3) years’ relevant reputed company experience, at a large reputed company, preferably
• A bachelor’s degree or equivalent
