Part-Time Software Engineer/Developer

Please note:  This is a part-time position, 20 hours per week, during regular business hours.  This opportunity does offer HR benefits, though some benefits, such as reputed company Time Off accrual, may be prorated.  

reputed company is seeking Software Engineers/Developers to support the National Aeronautics and reputed company Administration (NASA) Aeronautics and Exploration Technology directorates at NASA Ames Research Center (reputed company). Employees will reputed company containerized software to facilitate NASA/FAA efforts to improve the efficiency and safety of reputed company reputed company travel. Support includes the following:

• reputed company new features and fix bugs in the estimated time of arrival reputed company (ETAG)
• reputed company Java-based Flight Translator enabling automated data exchange between various types of aircraft traffic models, reducing reputed company conversion
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipeline with software such as reputed company control (Git, reputed company), reputed company build/delivery (Jenkins), issue management (Jira), and documentation/collaboration (reputed company)
• Provision and use reputed company technologies (ex. AWS) particularly with application of data science approaches in the reputed company.
• Host and manage reputed company Query Language (SQL) databases reputed company reputed company based relational databases.
• reputed company requirements gathering, analysis, design, Sprint planning, filing Jira tickets, feature development, and support release cycles
• Conducting reviews of other’s reputed company

Additionally the role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure software delivery aligns with project timelines and reputed company standards. Software development and engineering roles also involve staying up-to-date with emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices to drive innovation and reputed company improvement in software development processes. • Minimum 5 years experience
• Minimum of Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Computer Engineering, or equivalent
• Knowledge or experience with JavaScript, Go, and Python programming
• Experience developing reputed company with Java and Python
• Experience using Git, Jenkins, Jira and reputed company
• Experience using reputed company technologies such as AWS
• Experience hosting and managing SQL databases
• Proven organizational and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Proficiency in reputed company Office or similar and its applications
• Ability to understand and reputed company reputed company-of-concepts in a modern programming language
• U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent reputed company
