Job Description:

As a Technical Writer, you will play a key role in ensuring CSI’s customers and internal teams have access to clear, accurate, and timely documentation that supports our products and services. You will be responsible for creating, editing, organizing, and maintaining technical documentation and help systems, as well as supporting product communications through release notes, emails, and bulletin board postings.  This role is ideal for an experienced technical writer who can work independently, contribute original content, and provide guidance or feedback to less‑experienced writers.

What You’ll Do

  • Create, edit, and maintain documentation for CSI products and systems, including customer‑facing and internal materials.

  • Develop original documentation as well as enhance and update existing content to ensure accuracy and usability.

  • Plan and scope documentation projects, including defining timelines and delivery milestones.

  • Support product release documentation, including planning, writing, organizing, and editing release‑related materials.

  • Maintain CSI help systems by producing clear, user‑friendly documentation.

  • Write and distribute:

    • Customer and internal email communications

    • Bulletin board postings

    • Performance alert notifications

  • Ensure documentation meets quality standards and typically requires minimal editing prior to publication.

  • Coordinate with subject matter experts to review and approve content before distribution.

  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support documentation and communication needs.

What You Bring

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in technical writing, documentation, or a closely related field.

  • Education or job knowledge equivalent to an undergraduate college degree.

  • Strong ability to translate complex technical information into clear, concise, user‑focused documentation.

  • Excellent written communication, editing, and organizational skills.

  • High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines independently.

  • Comfort collaborating with cross‑functional teams and subject matter experts.
