As a Lead Data Engineer, you will be part of a dynamic team that works closely with cross-functional groups to design, develop, and implement data-driven solutions that meet the evolving needs of our customers, sponsors, and content partners. **Job Description:** **Key Responsibilities:** * Contribute to the design and development of our data products and data warehouses around Commitment and Maintenance Examination and Information Science * Plan and develop flexible data warehousing solutions, building ETL pipelines in Large Data environments (cloud, on-prem, hybrid) * Our tech stack includes Hadoop, AWS, Snowflake, Flash, and Wind stream, and languages include Python, Scala * Help engineer data solutions/structures and define data models for the core data warehouse and data shops * Collaborate with Data Product Managers, Data Modelers, and Data Architects to design, implement, and deliver successful data solutions * Maintain detailed documentation of your work and changes to ensure data quality and data governance * Ensure high operational productivity and quality of your solutions to meet SLAs and support our customers (Data Science, Data Analysis groups) * Be an active member and advocate of agile/scrum practice to ensure safety and cycle improvements for your team **Key Capabilities:** * Strong SQL skills and ability to write queries to extract data and build performant datasets * Experienced insight with distributed frameworks like Flash, Hadoop (HDFS, Hive, Voila, PySpark) to query and process data * Strong programming skills in Python, Java/Scala * Experience with at least one major MPP or cloud database technology (Snowflake, Redshift, Large Query) * Strong involvement in data integration toolsets (i.e Wind current) and writing and maintaining Data Pipelines * Strong in Data Modeling strategies and Data Warehousing standard systems and practices * Familiarity with Scrum and Agile approaches * You are a problem solver with strong analytical and relational skills * Ideal to have experience with Cloud advances like AWS (S3, EMR, EC2) **Essential Qualifications:** * Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field * 3+ years of experience in data engineering, data science, or related field * Strong understanding of data modeling, data warehousing, and data governance * Experience with Big Data technologies like Hadoop, Spark, and NoSQL databases * Strong programming skills in Python, Java, or Scala * Experience with data integration toolsets like Wind current and data pipelines **Preferred Qualifications:** * Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field * 5+ years of experience in data engineering, data science, or related field * Experience with cloud-based data platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud * Strong understanding of agile and scrum methodologies * Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, or D3.js **Work Environment and Company Culture:** * arenaflex is a dynamic and innovative company that values collaboration, creativity, and customer satisfaction * Our team is passionate about data engineering and is committed to delivering high-quality solutions that meet the evolving needs of our customers * We offer a flexible work environment that allows for remote work and flexible hours * arenaflex is an equal opportunity employer that values diversity and inclusion **Compensation and Benefits:** * Competitive salary range: $80,000 - $120,000 per year * Comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off * Opportunities for professional growth and development through training and mentorship programs * Flexible work environment and remote work options **How to Apply:** If you're passionate about data engineering and are eager to join a dynamic team that is shaping the future of entertainment and media, please submit your application through our website.
