As a Customer Service Representative, you will play a vital role in providing information, assistance, and support to individuals, families, small group employees, and brokers seeking services related to the MHC.
**Job Summary**
We're seeking an experienced Customer Service Representative to join our team, providing exceptional support to Maryland residents navigating the Maryland Health Connection (MHC) and its services. As a Customer Service Representative, you will be the primary point of contact for customers, responding to inquiries, resolving issues, and providing information on eligibility and enrollment for Medicaid, Qualified Health Plans, and other services. **Key Responsibilities**
* Respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, and chat, providing accurate and timely information on MHC services and programs
* Resolve customer complaints and issues in a professional and courteous manner
* Assist customers with eligibility and enrollment for Medicaid, Qualified Health Plans, and other services
* Utilize the State's eligibility and enrollment portal and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software to perform tasks and duties for HIX customers
* Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless delivery of services and resolve complex customer issues
* Meet or exceed performance metrics and quality standards
* Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance knowledge and skills
**Essential Qualifications**
* 2+ years of experience in a customer-facing role, preferably in a call center or healthcare setting
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with customers and colleagues
* Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with the ability to resolve complex customer issues
* Proficiency in using computer software and technology, including CRM systems and Microsoft Office
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, meeting deadlines and managing multiple priorities
* High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred
**Preferred Qualifications**
* Experience working in a healthcare or insurance setting
* Knowledge of Medicaid and Qualified Health Plan programs
* Bilingual or multilingual skills
* Experience with CRM software and other customer service tools
* Certification in customer service or a related field

**Compensation and Benefits**
