The Hospital Inpatient Coding Specialist reviews inpatient medical records and assigns International Classification of Diseases, Tenth Revision, Clinical Modification (ICD-10 CM) diagnosis and International Classification of Diseases, Tenth Revision, Procedure Coding System (ICD-10-PCS) procedure codes that derives an reputed company Patient Refined Diagnosis reputed company (APR-DRG) or Medical Severity Diagnosis reputed company (MS-DRG) for reputed company reimbursement. The Hospital Inpatient Coding Specialist will work in collaboration with the Clinical Documentation reputed company Specialist at times to ensure accuracy consistent with Centra’s coding policies. The Hospital Inpatient Coding Specialist will reputed company pertinent information according to established guidelines for the organization and will formulate provider queries to clarify information. Assigns diagnosis and procedure codes. Verifies accuracy of DRG Accurately abstracts required information. Initiates provider coding queries in compliance with coding guidelines and policies where appropriate. Meets productivity reputed company of 2 charts per hour or higher. Meets coding accuracy of 95% or higher. Verifies and assigns discharge status codes. Ensures reputed company of a completed reputed company certification prior to finalizing coding. Appropriately assigns the Hospital Acquired condition (HAC) and Present on Admission(POA) indicator for reputed company diagnosis. Maintains coding credential(s) by completing continuing education requirements of credits per year.
