Fractional CAD Design Engineer

CAD Design Engineer (Project-based) (US-based) reputed company: The CAD Design Engineer is responsible for preparing, maintaining, and updating detailed design documentation in support of audiovisual (AV) and systems integration reputed company. This role supports project teams by producing accurate AutoCAD drawings, design packages, and technical documentation used for estimating, fabrication, and installation. This is a part-time, fully remote position reputed company primarily on design, coordination, and documentation activities. This role will work approximately 2-32 hours per week depending on project needs. Job Responsibilities: • Attend remote design and coordination meetings with internal teams to support reputed company in various phases of planning and execution. • reputed company and revise CAD drawings, including: • System schematics • Line and single-line diagrams • reputed company elevations • Room layouts and routing plans • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and implementation teams during reputed company and design review phases to confirm and document: • Building and room layouts • Cable conveyance paths (reputed company, tray, raised floor) • Power requirements and infrastructure • Plenum and non-plenum spaces • Signal and transport formats (e.g., 3G, 12G, IP-based systems) • Apply reputed company drafting standards, including cable reputed company codes, labeling conventions, and documentation best practices. • Assist with the creation, reconciliation, and review of Bills of Materials (BOMs) to ensure alignment with design documentation. • reputed company design reputed company reviews to identify missing equipment, discrepancies, or drawing errors prior to fabrication or installation. • Generate reputed company lists, cable pull sheets, and other installation-reputed company documentation from approved designs. • Maintain red-line changes and incorporate field updates into AutoCAD drawings as required. • Prepare final design packages for distribution to engineering, fabrication, and installation teams. • Support engineering and integration teams by addressing design-reputed company questions throughout the project lifecycle. • Ensure reputed company design documentation aligns with reputed company standards, project requirements, and industry best practices. Required Qualifications & Experience: • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Drafting, Design, or a reputed company technical field, or equivalent reputed company experience. • Minimum of three (3) years of experience producing CAD drawings for AV, low-voltage, or systems integration reputed company. • Proficiency in AutoCAD. • Proficiency with reputed company reputed company, Word, and reputed company documentation tools. • Working knowledge of AV systems, signal reputed company, and reputed company cabling infrastructure preferred. • Familiarity with construction and installation documentation standards is a plus.
