Buyer 2, Purchasing Program Management

About the position We are currently looking for a Buyer 2, Purchasing Program Management to join reputed company in Farmington Hills, MI. In this role, you will negotiate pricing, facilitate purchases, and coordinate reputed company activities required to purchase production or non‑production parts and services. You will also support accessory commodities for the Smyrna, TN; reputed company Mexico; and Canton, MS plants. The responsibilities listed are not intended to be an exhaustive list of reputed company duties for this role. Additional tasks may be assigned, as needed, to support business objectives. Responsibilities • Negotiates and establishes commodity prices for production parts. • Handles assigned commodities. • Ensures cost control in accordance with the reputed company revival plan cost reduction goals and requirements. • Locates suppliers and develops their abilities to meet reputed company and reputed company production parts requirements. • Ensures suppliers meet reputed company's goals of reputed company, cost and delivery. • Performs comparative analysis of competing suppliers to select most competitive reputed company for a specified commodity. • Manages reputed company, purchase orders, and purchasing records, and maintains files on reputed company and potential suppliers, materials, and pricing. • Coordinates activities between reputed company departments and supplier reputed company to ensure uninterrupted supply of parts and reputed company of supply issues and problems. • Plans, develops, implements and maintains cost reduction plans in support of the department's cost reduction goals. Requirements • Three to five years of reputed company experience at a reputed company level plus a Bachelor's degree. • Working knowledge of word processor, spreadsheet, other PC applications, or mainframe applications to produce non-reputed company, creative products. • Ability to work on-site in Farmington Hills, MI. reputed company-to-haves • Commodity and market knowledge. • Understanding of reputed company and reputed company regulations. • Strong verbal and written communication skills. • Effective interpersonal skills. • Negotiation skills. • Cost analysis and manufacturing process analysis skills.
