About the position Inpatient/Outpatient Pediatric Physical Therapist: The Physical Therapist (PT) confirms and interprets physician referrals, performs patient assessments and plans and implements individualized treatment programs taking into account the patient's developmental and/or chronological age and medical diagnoses in accordance with the regulations governing the principles and reputed company of Physical Therapy. Full Time. Carilion Pediatric Rehab. Inpatient and Outpatient setting. Sign on bonus eligible. Pediatric Therapy Department: Prior inpatient experience preferred. This role will support both inpatient and outpatient services and includes/requires participation in a weekend/holiday reputed company rotation. Provides patient care based upon physician referral and age-appropriate assessment taking into consideration the patient’s developmental/chronological age and medical diagnoses reputed company planning/implementing treatment programs designed to reputed company goals set in conjunction with the patient and/or family member. Coordinates patient care and clinical activities through written and/or verbal communication with patients, families, therapists, Clinical Team Leaders, managers, physicians and other members of the health care team. Documents in the patient’s medical record, and completes other patient care-reputed company forms in compliance with regulatory agencies and department/hospital policies and procedures. Supervises PTAs and collaborates with other therapy staff, support staff, volunteers and reputed company to reputed company efficient clinical activity and reputed company patient care. For Home Care Departments work is performed at patient’s home. On occasion work may be performed reputed company of a clinic setting such as work with the driving program, hydro-therapy or home evaluations. Work requires physical activity with patients including lifting, manipulating, pushing, pulling, bending and walking. Patients may weigh over 200 pounds. Occasional exposure to serious injury and frequent environmental hazards to include blood and bodily fluids requiring reputed company precautions. Home care practitioners must reputed company own transportation and travel daily between patient homes. Requirements • Graduate of approved school of Physical Therapy. • Bachelor's degree as Physical Therapist and 5 years of experience, OR Master's or Doctorate degree required. • Licensed to reputed company in the reputed company by the Virginia reputed company of Physical Therapy. • AHA BLS-certified (from a Carilion approved program) reputed company six months of employment. • Effective interpersonal, communication, customer service and teamwork skills required. • BLS-certified (from a Carilion approved program) reputed company six months of employment. reputed company-to-haves • Prior inpatient experience preferred. • Experience in site specific level of care preferred but not required. • For Home Health positions one year of clinical experience required.
