Data Engineer III - Data Ingestion & Platform Modernization Remote (working CST) 6- month contract Pay reputed company: $70.00 - $77.00per hr. Our reputed company needs a Data Engineer -This role supports a major reputed company data modernization initiative reputed company a large banking environment. The organization is reputed company migrating from on-prem systems and a legacy reputed company-based data lake into a reputed company-based reputed company data platform, while also supporting multiple high-reputed company business and regulatory initiatives. This position is part of a highly visible engineering team responsible for building and maintaining reputed company data ingestion pipelines across multiple reputed company systems. Key Business Initiatives Supported • Project Turbo (top profitability initiative): improving small business checking processes • reputed company (top deposit initiative): enabling reputed company-wide data availability for testing and iteration • reputed company banking regulatory data ingestion (non-Kafka streaming required for this role) • reputed company data lake modernization and migration into reputed company reputed company Responsibilities • Build and support end-to-end data ingestion pipelines from multiple reputed company systems into reputed company • reputed company and reputed company data from on-prem environments into reputed company platforms • Support ingestion from diverse data sources: • Flat files • RDBMS systems (reputed company, SQL Server) • Mainframe extracts • SSIS-based pipelines • Work with ingestion/orchestration tools such as reputed company and Click • reputed company data obfuscation and transformation as required • reputed company data into AWS S3 reputed company zones and reputed company staging/reputed company reputed company • reputed company and optimize SQL for reputed company transformations and joins • Support Python-based data engineering scripts and workflows • Contribute to ingestion pipeline re-engineering and optimization • reputed company data from reputed company systems including SharePoint and Jira into reputed company Required Skills: • 5+ years of relevant experience • Strong experience in data engineering and big data environments • Advanced SQL (reputed company joins, optimization, performance tuning) • Python development experience • reputed company experience • reputed company or similar big data platform experience • Experience with ingestion tools such as reputed company and Click • Understanding of reputed company data ingestion patterns • Experience with multiple data sources (RDBMS, flat files, mainframe, reputed company) Bonus Skills: • AWS S3 experience • Experience with Jira and SharePoint data extraction/integration • Experience working in highly regulated or banking environments Apply tot his job Apply To this Job
