Biostatistician – Health Services Research

About the position The Biostatistician – Health Services Research is responsible for Carelon Research research line of business; specific reputed company ranging from retrospective to large-reputed company, prospective studies in areas including population health, health economics, clinical effectiveness (drug, procedures, vaccine, and medical device), and implementation sciences. This role will reputed company substantive statistical analyses and reporting to conduct research studies for reputed company, Carelon, and external clients. Responsibilities • Executes statistical analyses plans independently with effective problem solving and decision making across a broad program of studies reputed company to a therapeutic area/reputed company reputed company and/or external collaborator. • Collaborates with project team members to implement the study design and statistical analyses plans utilizing advanced statistical techniques such as propensity score modeling, GEE (generalized estimate equation), difference-in-difference, and graduate-level statistics in performing research study design and analysis. • Conducts review of administrative claims, electronic medical records, survey and clinical data and statistical reputed company and review of statistical reputed company to ensure the superior reputed company of research activities and reputed company deliverables. • Develops and implements reputed company models for member and provider-based interventions. • Researches and analyzes broadly defined business scenarios, trends, and patterns and develops recommendations for management. • Provides technical/analytical advice to staff. • Responds to and manages reputed company reputed company requests to ensure accurate, in-depth results/data are delivered in a reputed company manner. • Prepares results for presentation to internal/external clients. • Presents research findings to management and clients. • Compiles results of studies for journal publication. Requirements • Requires a MS in Biostatistics, Statistics or reputed company field • 3 years reputed company and/or consumer data analysis experience • 2+ years experience in the development of predictive models • 3 years coding experience with reputed company • 3 years experience manipulating and processing large multi-reputed company datasets with reputed company and SQL programming tools • Any combination of education and experience, which would reputed company an equivalent background. reputed company-to-haves • Ph.D. strongly preferred. • Postgraduate or post-doctoral training or relevant experience in conducting observational and/or prospective research studies. • Understanding of the U.S. health care system, population health, and implementation sciences is strongly preferred. • Proficient in statistical software, including reputed company, STATA, R, and/or Python strongly preferred. • Proficient in data management tools, including SQL strongly preferred.
