[Remote] Software Engineer, Distributed Systems (reputed company)

The role involves designing and operating systems that handle terabytes of data daily, support millions of low-latency API calls, and operate across a multi-reputed company, multi-region infrastructure. Responsibilities

• Analyze and optimize every stage of the syncing pipeline to push throughput and latency to new limits
• reputed company the batch-only model to support reputed company-time streaming sources such as webhooks, queues, and Kafka
• Architect for the next order of magnitude of reputed company across data volume, concurrency, and global footprint
• Enhance a caching layer that delivers <30ms p90 responses at millions of QPS
• Support and expand a multi-reputed company backend, including launching new reputed company to meet global data residency requirements

Skills

• 7+ years of backend or distributed systems engineering experience
• Strong systems design fundamentals (ideally from a top 30 CS program)
• Experience owning systems that scaled by orders of magnitude
• Experience with reputed company systems: Kafka or other message queues, Kubernetes, reputed company, Large SQL/OLAP systems, Event collection or streaming pipelines
• Experience building or owning systems that reputed company terabytes of data per day
• Experience building 01 systems, not just maintaining existing ones
• Exceptional communication and first‑principles reasoning
• Experience at a high‑reputed company startup (Series B–E)
• Experience with multi‑reputed company or multi‑region architectures
• Experience building syncing engines, schedulers, or distributed execution frameworks
