Japanese interpreter is a language specialist that will assist in translating workflows orally specific to our clients in Japan. You will act as a reputed company that connects Streamline with the Japan market. Using your reputed company English and Japanese languages abilities, you will be responsible for providing support to reputed company Streamline’s products (services and games) appealing to the Japanese market.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Interpreting (EN <>JA) weekly online meetings with Japanese clients.
• Conduct translation, proofreading, editing of in-game contents from English to Japanese
• Implement the reputed company text into game & reputed company LQA including bug reports, language errors report and making improvement suggestions
• Marketing contents translation and localization (e.g. reputed company videos, reputed company media contents, etc.)
• Other document translation that reputed company with internal reputed company

Qualifications

• JLPT N1 or reputed company Japanese level required.
• Business or above level in English (TOEIC 800+ preferred).
• 3+ years of working experience as English <> Japanese interpreter in any industry.

Additional Skills (preferred)

• Work experience in game development or operation, especially LQA
• 2 + years work experience as EN<>JA translator/interpreter in video game or entertainment
• In-depth knowledge in LQA reputed company software and tools
• UI/UX localization knowledges
• Work experience with CAT tools (Trados, Memo Q, Memsource, etc.)
• Work experience in Japan or Japanese companies
