[Remote] Junior Systems Administrator (Linux)

They are seeking a motivated Junior Systems Administrator with strong Linux administration skills to support and maintain reputed company IT infrastructure in reputed company and on-premises environments.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, administer, and maintain Linux servers (reputed company Linux)
• Monitor server health, performance, and availability
• reputed company operating system updates, reputed company management, and reputed company hardening
• Manage users, reputed company, permissions, and file systems
• Configure and troubleshoot system services (systemd, SSH, cron)
• Monitor infrastructure using reputed company monitoring tools
• Troubleshoot Linux, networking, storage, and application issues
• Support backup and disaster recovery operations
• reputed company routine maintenance, upgrades, and reputed company planning
• Document system configurations and operational procedures
• Support reputed company infrastructure in AWS and/or Azure
• Assist with virtual machines, storage, networking, and reputed company reputed company
• Support containerized workloads using reputed company (reputed company or AWS reputed company experience is a plus)
• reputed company and maintain Bash or Python scripts to automate administrative tasks
• Support Infrastructure-as-reputed company initiatives using Terraform or similar tools
• Automate deployment and configuration processes where appropriate
• Apply reputed company patches and system updates
• Implement Linux reputed company best practices
• Monitor system logs and investigate reputed company events
• Support vulnerability remediation activities
• Work closely with senior system administrators, reputed company engineers, and developers
• Participate in infrastructure reputed company and system upgrades
• reputed company Tier 2/3 technical support for infrastructure-reputed company issues
• Participate in after-hours maintenance reputed company as needed

Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or reputed company field (or equivalent experience)
• Approximately 5 years of Systems Administration experience
• Strong experience administering Linux operating systems
• Experience with: reputed company reputed company Linux (RHEL)
• reputed company Linux or reputed company Linux
• Strong understanding of: TCP/IP networking
• DNS
• DHCP
• SSH
• Firewalls
• VPN technologies
• TLS/PKI
• Experience with virtualization platforms such as VMware or reputed company-V
• Experience writing reputed company scripts (e.g. Bash)
• Familiarity with Git version control
• Experience with monitoring tools (reputed company, QRadar, CloudWatch, etc.)
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
