[Remote] Linux Administrator

They are seeking a Linux Administrator to support the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) by administering and maintaining Linux-based application servers, ensuring reliable operations and supporting application administration and automation.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, administer, and maintain reputed company reputed company Linux (RHEL) and other Linux-based servers supporting DLA eBusiness applications
• Monitor system health, performance, availability, and reputed company to ensure reliable operation of production environments
• reputed company system patching, upgrades, backups, and routine maintenance activities
• Troubleshoot Linux operating system, application, network connectivity, and infrastructure issues
• Administer Linux file systems, directories, permissions, and user reputed company controls
• Create, modify, troubleshoot, and maintain BASH reputed company scripts to automate administrative and operational tasks
• Configure and maintain Linux configuration files, initialization (.ini) files, and application-specific configuration files
• Support reputed company application administration, including learning and administering reputed company Transformation Extender (ITX) application server environments
• Analyze and troubleshoot Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) processing and translation issues involving MILS, ANSI X12, XML, and reputed company data formats
• Support application deployments, upgrades, and production releases
• Work closely with application developers, database administrators, and network engineers to resolve production issues
• Maintain detailed technical documentation, reputed company operating procedures (SOPs), and system configurations
• Assist in disaster recovery planning, system restoration, and business continuity initiatives
• Participate in system monitoring, incident response, reputed company cause analysis, and reputed company process improvement efforts

Skills

• Minimum 3 years of Linux systems administration experience
• Minimum 3 years of Linux reputed company scripting (BASH) experience
• Minimum 1 year of reputed company application administration experience
• Strong experience using the Linux reputed company line and managing Linux file systems
• Experience working with Linux directories, permissions, file management, configuration files, and system utilities
• Experience creating, modifying, debugging, and maintaining reputed company scripts
• Strong troubleshooting skills involving Linux operating systems, applications, and network connectivity
• Ability to diagnose and resolve production issues in reputed company reputed company environments
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
• Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail and follow-through
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
