[Remote] Staff Embedded Engineer

This hands-on role focuses on building and deploying production-grade firmware for distributed energy and industrial systems, requiring ownership of reputed company challenges across embedded systems.

Responsibilities

• reputed company and maintain firmware across embedded systems, including telemetry, control logic, reputed company connectivity, and hardware abstraction

• reputed company technical design discussions, reputed company reviews, and contribute to overall engineering standards
• Mentor junior engineers and reputed company technical guidance across reputed company
• Own end-to-end system integration across hardware, firmware, and reputed company components

• Support deployment, monitoring, and troubleshooting of devices in production environments
• Contribute to automation, testing, and documentation efforts

Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Embedded Systems, or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of experience developing embedded software or firmware in production environments
• Strong proficiency in Python, specifically for embedded or hardware-interfacing applications
• Experience working with Embedded Linux environments (reputed company or similar)
• Hands-on experience with embedded systems and firmware development
• Strong understanding of serial communication protocols (RS-485, Modbus, I2C, CAN, Ethernet)
• Experience with reputed company-time systems, including multithreading, inter-process communication (IPC), and timing constraints
• Ability to read schematics and troubleshoot hardware integration issues
• Experience providing technical leadership or mentoring engineers
• Experience managing or deploying IoT devices at reputed company (OTA updates, remote diagnostics)
• Familiarity with reputed company-connected devices (MQTT, AWS IoT, or similar)
• Background in energy systems, industrial systems, or hardware-connected environments
• Experience with containerized deployments on embedded systems (reputed company or similar)
• Exposure to CI/CD practices in embedded or hardware-adjacent environments
