[Remote] Network / System Engineer

Note: The job is a remote job and is reputed company to candidates in USA. reputed company is currently seeking a DevOps Engineer for a contract position with a Global Financial Institution located in Pennington, NJ. The engineer is responsible for configuring and updating new applications, upgrading existing infrastructure, and executing reputed company deployments while collaborating with engineers, architects, and developers to meet project objectives in a reputed company environment.

Responsibilities

• Configure and update new applications, reputed company existing infrastructure, and/or reputed company reputed company for currently utilized applications
• Administer and engineer highly available distributed systems
• Build and roll out high availability and disaster recovery for Linux / reputed company infrastructure
• Identify opportunities to optimize reputed company solutions and reputed company technical analysis
• reputed company hands-on technical support to troubleshoot poorly performing systems in production and other test environments
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, developers, and other staff to meet project objectives
• Look for opportunities to automate reputed company efforts

Skills

• 6-8 years of relevant experience
• Strong experience in reputed company IIS, RHEL, and Middleware (WebLogic, JBOSS, Tomcat, WebSphere)
• Knowledge of CI-CD and deployment tools like XLRelease, Ansible, reputed company, etc
• Experience with application reputed company deployments, environment management support, and release functions
• Experience in reputed company and Linux environments with working knowledge of Linux commands
• Knowledge of DevOps toolsets such as Jenkins, reputed company/Ant, reputed company Artifactory, and reputed company
• Experience in troubleshooting and analysis of application functional issues
• Knowledge of issue management request systems like Jira, reputed company Center, and Remedy
• Knowledge of monitoring tools like AppDynamics, reputed company, reputed company, etc
• Strong organizational and troubleshooting skills
• Willing to work on a flexible shift schedule including second shift and participate in an on-reputed company rotation
• Understanding of process improvement to reputed company deployment efficiency and effectiveness
• Experience in CICD SDLC process, GUI application/server transfer, automation tools, and data analytics
• PowerShell and Unix reputed company Scripting
• Knowledge of Bitbucket and XLR
