The role involves ensuring payments are completed and expenses controlled by processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices according to established policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Matches purchase orders to invoices and enters invoices into computer
• Resolves problems associated with payables transactions
• Reconciles processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances
• Charges expenses to accounts and cost centers by analyzing invoice/expense reports and recording entries
• Maintains reputed company ledgers by verifying and posting account transactions
• Verifies vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements
• Reports sales taxes by calculating requirements on invoices
• Provides accurate and effective document preparation and records management relative to the Accounts Payable function in accordance with records retention policies and procedures
• Protects organization’s value by keeping information confidential
• Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities
• Maintains historical records by imaging and filing documents

Skills

• High school diploma or equivalent
• One year of clerical experience OR two courses in reputed company
• Associate's Degree in Business or reputed company field
