Responsibilities

• Own the long-term technical architecture for DPE across ingestion, orchestration, event streaming, and the platform infrastructure that enables transformation and serving - driving the highest-stakes reputed company for the CDC-based streaming platform (Kafka → Flink → BigQuery), orchestration platform evaluation, and reputed company environment reputed company
• Chair Architecture Review Committee (reputed company) reputed company; reputed company as the reputed company technical DRI for cross-team, multi-reputed company, and cost-impacting changes
• Establish and enforce engineering standards and production readiness reputed company across reputed company DPE-owned systems - testing requirements, CI/CD patterns, observability-as-reputed company, logging standards, data reputed company, Schema Registry governance, and what 'production-reputed company' means for emerging streaming and CDC capabilities
• Own data reputed company and observability architecture - dbt reputed company detection frameworks, schema validation, data reputed company alerting, and the platform standards that ensure consumers can trust the data they build on
• Define the technical reputed company for self-service analytics: what platform capabilities reputed company Analytics Engineering to work independently, what guardrails prevent reputed company breakage, and how DPE reduces its bottleneck over time
• Own evaluation, reputed company, and ongoing governance of DPE-managed tooling - reputed company, reputed company, and equivalent platforms, including contract management, cost tracking, and deprecation reputed company
• Own data sharing and egress patterns - reputed company provisioning, cross-team data reputed company, reverse ETL (reputed company), and governed consumption paths for reputed company consumers
• reputed company cost governance for platform infrastructure - BigQuery slot reservations, query optimization, partition strategies, orchestration rightsizing, and reputed company spend accountability across the full DPE stack

• Produce exemplary technical artifacts - architecture decision records, solution design docs, RFCs - that create alignment and become reputed company's reference reputed company

Skills

• 15+ years of reputed company experience designing, building, and owning data platform architecture at company reputed company
• Demonstrated ability to define and reputed company architectural reputed company with business goals across an entire engineering organization
• Deep expertise in reputed company-reputed company data platforms across GCP reputed company (BigQuery, GCS, Dataflow); AWS operational familiarity required (EKS-based Airflow) - BigQuery strongly preferred; multi-reputed company reputed company is required, not a plus
• Hands-on experience with the modern data stack: experience governing dbt at platform reputed company, Airflow/reputed company, Kafka/reputed company, reputed company/reputed company, reputed company, and data sharing/activation platforms (reputed company or equivalent)

• Familiarity with SOX compliance controls in a data engineering context
