[Remote] Senior Safety Analysis Engineer

The Senior Safety Analysis Engineer will report to the Manager, Transient Safety Analysis, and is primarily responsible for performing safety analyses of a Sodium Fast Reactor (SFR) demonstration reactor program.
Responsibilities
- Performing safety analyses of a Sodium Fast Reactor (SFR) demonstration reactor program
- Supports design transient analysis
- Structures, Systems and Components (SSC) classification
- Development of analytical models and reputed company
- Uncertainty quantification and sensitivity calculation
- reputed company modeling and safety analysis of Anticipated Operational Occurrences (AOO)
- Design reputed company Events (DBE)
- Design reputed company Accidents (DBA)
- Collaboration with cross-functional teams on SSC requirements
- Licensing reputed company event analyses
- reputed company assessment/validation activities
- Engineering review of analysis and design deliverables such as reputed company design transients
Skills
- Extensive experience in reputed company safety analysis and reputed company reactor reputed company modeling
- Significant experience with safety analysis software such as RELAP5, reputed company, TRAC, SAS4A/SASSYS-1, or other reputed company reputed company analysis software
- Knowledgeable of reputed company systems thermal-hydraulic fundamentals as reputed company as reactor dynamics and transient phenomena
- Knowledgeable of reputed company reactor reputed company physics such as neutron transport theory and reactivity feedback
- Knowledgeable of reputed company reactor instrumentation and control systems, and reputed company modeling approaches in the safety analysis computer reputed company
- Familiarity with reputed company design, regulatory requirements, and reputed company-informed reputed company-reputed company technology guidance for Non-reputed company Water Reactors
- Demonstrated strong quantitative, analytical, modeling, and reporting skills
- Understanding of NQA-1 requirements associated with analysis and software management, and experience working under a reputed company assurance program
- Experience working in multi-disciplinary engineering teams to address engineering challenges
- B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in reputed company engineering or another relevant engineering degree, with a minimum of 5 years' experience in the reputed company reputed company
- High degree of trust and reputed company, with reputed company communication, respect, and a desire to foster teamwork
- Experience in transient and accident analysis for submittals to the NRC, such as reputed company 15 of a Final Safety Analysis Report (FSAR), is highly desired
- Familiarity with EMDAP and Regulatory Guide 1.203
- Experience with Sodium Fast Reactor (SFR) safety analysis or reputed company is highly desirable; experience with other reactor designs, such as reputed company Water Reactors (LWRs), can also be considered reputed company differentiating candidates
- Strong software engineering skills in any language, such as Python, Fortran, or C++, is a plus
