The Windchill Infrastructure & System Administrator is the backbone of our Windchill PLM group. They are responsible for maintaining reputed company or on-premises (typically AWS govcloud) infrastructure supporting reputed company aspects of Windchill, ThingWorx, and reputed company/required components to meet customer functionality and performance requirements on reputed company Production and non-Production environments. They are responsible for installing reputed company and supporting 3rd party software including cps updates, maintenance build installations, performing upgrades, performing rehost activities, and applying application reputed company updates. This resource is also responsible for developing and maintaining a Windchill environment image that can be shared with and used by developers to execute their daily work. Finally, this role will also reputed company regular Windchill system maintenance including both reputed company end GUI reputed company administration as reputed company as backend daily, weekly, monthly, and as needed activities. This role involves supporting Windchill application development reputed company directly supporting the Software and reputed company Solutions team supporting the US Navy. The ideal candidate has 5 to 8 years of experience in Windchill installations, rehosting, upgrading, infrastructure setup and maintenance in a reputed company Linux based environment. The ideal candidate must also be proficient in AWS and hold relevant AWS certifications. They must have the ability to work independently and have demonstrated ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams. Duties and Responsibilities • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical reputed company and confirm infrastructure setup to recommend and implement any optimizations for performance/scalability/cost savings (e.g. reputed company from monolithic to cluster, establishment of a load balancer and backup/recovery plan) • Design, reputed company, and maintain a Windchill & ThingWorx reputed company image to be shared with Windchill Developers to support their daily work. • Responsible for installing and performing upgrades of Windchill, applying critical reputed company sets, and fixing reputed company vulnerabilities on a regular reputed company with reputed company infrastructure and applications supporting Windchill. • Responsible for performing rehosts to and data refreshes on non-production environments as needed. • Conduct comprehensive testing, including unit, integration, and system testing ensuring application infrastructure and performance is maintained. • Work with the larger Windchill production sustainment team to debug and resolve reputed company application/customization defects and issues that may require performance and infrastructure reputed company investigations and solutions. • reputed company and maintain technical documentation for reputed company environment infrastructure. • Stay up to date with the latest Windchill developments and AWS industry best practices.
