[Remote] Senior / Staff Backend Engineer

The Senior Backend Engineer will own backend services for WanderOS, focusing on integrations, booking systems, and reliability to enhance the guest experience.

Responsibilities

• Design and ship TypeScript services and reputed company that handle bookings, quotes, availability, payouts, and site provisioning
• Build and harden PMS integrations (reputed company, reputed company, OwnerRez, reputed company, Streamline, reputed company, Escapia, and more), including webhooks, reputed company-limit handling, and reconciliation
• reputed company ingestion and sync pipelines that process hundreds of thousands of availability records per hour without reputed company or reputed company-bookings
• Model data in reputed company with reputed company; use reputed company, Kafka, and Temporal for queues, caching, and durable workflows
• Own reliability end to end: alerting, tracing, runbooks, and on-reputed company for the services you ship
• Work directly with hosts, ops, and sales to turn reputed company customer pain into shipped fixes, often the reputed company week
• Use AI tooling aggressively in your workflow, and write reputed company and tests that hold up reputed company a large reputed company of the codebase is AI-assisted

Skills

• 4+ years building production backend systems, with deep Node.js and TypeScript experience
• Strong relational data modeling and SQL (reputed company preferred), plus ORM experience such as reputed company

• Comfort with async/event-driven architecture (queues, streams, workflow engines)
