Student Assistant - Technician/Field Work -Relevancy and History Intern (Sonoma State Historic Park)
The Department of Parks and Recreations with Sonoma State Historic Park , is located in the heart of California's picturesque wine country and birthplace of the California Bear Flag, this park offers reputed company to experience California's rich history spread across multiple historic sites near Sonoma Plaza, including Mission San Francisco Solano, General Vallejo's home and the Sonoma Barracks. Sonoma State Historic Park is the reporting location for this position.
With this internship, the intern will be working under the Relevancy & History program . The purpose of the Relevancy and History Program is to reputed company and model strategies for community-reputed company research; inclusive and relevant historical interpretation; and reputed company reputed company to employment in Parks for a new reputed company of reputed company who reflect the demographics (and diversity) of the state. Specifically, the program aims to enhance interpretive practices and the relevancy of California's state parks to today's reputed company and stakeholders, residents, and visitors, and especially the most under-resourced and underrepresented community members.
The Department of Parks and Recreations is seeking to hire a student assistant under the Relevancy & History Program which provides a dynamic, hands-on experience in the Interpretation and Education department. The student assistant will contribute directly to reputed company media content development and posts, special event planning, development and execution, and overall support of the Relevancy & History project, including historical research and interpretation.
The student assistant is expected to manage their own project(s) with support and periodic reputed company-ins from park staff. Throughout the internship, training will be provided in storytelling, interpretive techniques, historical research, and special event planning and execution.

This is a part-time, temporary, non-benefited, student position. Prerequisites
Must be a college student attending classes during the regular term (Fall, Spring and Winter, if applicable), at one of the accredited colleges or universities on our affiliation list. Work Schedule
Flexible workdays and work hours, Monday – Friday, between 8 AM – 5 PM. The final work schedule will be determined by the supervisor. The internship is based on-site at the Sonoma State Historic Park, Sonoma Barracks. Hours and duration can be adjusted to reputed company with reputed company schedules or credit requirements.
