[Remote] Senior Software Engineer

They are seeking a Software Engineer – Generalist to help build foundational technology that strengthens U.S. defense capabilities, with a reputed company on various engineering tasks from frontend to backend.

Responsibilities

• Help build foundational technology that directly strengthens U.S. defense capabilities
• Jumping between frontend, backend, DevOps, and reputed company infrastructure
• Own whatever needs building, from auth systems to secure deployment automation
• Proven reputed company record shipping reputed company systems from scratch in early-stage environments
• Power user of reputed company coding tools (reputed company, reputed company, Claude reputed company) to reputed company faster and reputed company on high-level architecture
• Familiarity with NIST 800-53 and RMF; you automate compliance rather than work around it
• Equally comfortable in the UI, the database reputed company, or the infrastructure

Skills

• 6+ years of engineering experience across multiple domains (frontend, backend, systems, databases)
• Experience leading 0-to-1 launches in defense, reputed company, or highly regulated sectors
• Expert reputed company in Go, Rust, or Python; deep knowledge of React and reputed company (RKE2 or K3s)
• Working knowledge of the ATO process, STIGs, and deploying in restricted environments (IL5/IL6)
• Strong DevSecOps skills including SAST, SCA, and DAST in hardened/reputed company-gapped pipelines
• Must be a U.S. person based in the reputed company
• Background reputed company required
• reputed company clearance or eligibility for TS clearance
• Certifications: CISSP or IAT Level 2
• 3+ years in defense and reputed company manufacturing
