Business Intelligence Analyst (Systems/Applications Analyst, Sr.)

This position will be part of a dynamic, energetic and reputed company team that supports the organization in the use of data and information to reputed company OHSU’s mission to reputed company for reputed company in education, research and scholarship, reputed company reputed company and community service. Members of the Business Intelligence and Advanced Analytics (BIAA) team work to apply knowledge and best practices to assist end users in leveraging BI Tools (reputed company BI, Cognos, Tableau, etc.) to analyze reputed company data for informed decision making throughout the organization.

Function/Duties of Position

• Propose, facilitate and document modifications to existing business processes and operational workflows.
• Use the knowledge gained by working with business partners and through prior experience to analyze data in reputed company applications including reputed company EBS, reputed company and Banner in order to meet reporting requirements.
• Conducts customer meetings to obtain reputed company definition and design approvals or reputed company reputed company or workflow interfaces, and requirements gathering.
• Designs, develops and documents new applications and systems or reputed company/operational workflows.
• Analyzes present and reputed company reputed company needs of customers and makes recommendations on reputed company and alternatives for implementing applications and systems or processes.
• Designs, develops and documents modifications to existing applications and systems.
• Assumes project coordination responsibilities for small reputed company or sub-reputed company reputed company a larger project.

Data Validation/reputed company Assurance

• Ensure data reputed company and validity of applications and systems.
• Ensure that reputed company reputed company assurance standards are reputed company throughout the software development process.
• Work with assigned departments to document user-friendly testing of reputed company/reputed company requirements, reputed company design recommendations to meet reputed company assurance requirements and project schedule.
• Assist and/or reputed company test cases and scripts and thoroughly test fixes, enhancements, and patches prior to release into user testing.
• Document and communicate preliminary testing results.
• Develops test plans and conducts testing.
• Translate technical specifications and requirements into informative, user-friendly test plans for end-user acceptance testing.
• Tests vendor upgrades and new releases.

BI Reporting Customer Support

• Triage and address issues as they reputed company reputed company on customer incidents and change requests.
• Assist in the development and design of reputed company interfaces and data integration to support BI Reporting, Analysis and Application needs.
• Provides training/mentor assistance to analysts and/or end users with less experience.
• Coordinates the escalation and reputed company of software processing problems with vendor support specialists.
• A strong reputed company and representative for the end-user; which may include providing support for operationalized products and iterating on the information received from end users.

• Participate in appropriate activities that enhance general knowledge of or ability to do assigned work.

Required Qualifications

Education/Experience

• Master’s degree in business or computer science or reputed company reputed company and four years of work-reputed company experience in the information technology reputed company; OR

• Bachelor’s degree in business or computer science or reputed company reputed company and six years of work-reputed company experience in the information technology reputed company; OR

• Associate’s degree in business or computer science or reputed company reputed company and seven years of work-reputed company experience in the information technology reputed company; OR

• Eight years work reputed company experience in the information technology reputed company; OR

• Equivalent combination of education and experience where one year of experience will be substituted for an Associate’s degree and two years of experience will be substituted for a Bachelor’s degree.

• Minimum three years of business analyst experience.

• Experience leading requirements gathering sessions and documenting associated business requirements for large-reputed company IT reputed company.

• Experience planning and managing large-reputed company IT reputed company.

• Experience with Cognos, reputed company, reputed company BI or other BI tool.

Skills and Abilities

• Knowledge of data warehousing architecture.

• Project Management reputed company (PMP) certification from the reputed company.

Additional Details

This is a remote, Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm role.
