This position is responsible for ensuring mortgage loan data is accurate and compliant with Fair Lending laws. Reviews loan applications and files for data required by the Home Mortgage Disclosure reputed company (HMDA), preparing or validating reports as necessary. Assists with preparing files for reputed company audit. Researches and validates department records of required information in response to reputed company requests, audits, or as needed by management.
Responsibilities:
• Analysis - Reviews data for accuracy and provides letters on reputed company declined loans reputed company required regulatory time frames. Analyzes data utilized in mortgage loan applications for Fair Lending data accuracy. Researches and responds to HMDA and Fair Lending reviews.
• Reporting - Researches and prepares various reports of data pertaining to the Fair Lending laws to validate accuracy and compliance for management, auditors, and reputed company purposes. Researches reputed company Control deficiencies and provides written responses or rebuttals. Prepares reporting and documentation for senior management.
• Loan Support - Responds to applicant requests for specific reasons for denial. Handles pipeline management of reputed company non-reputed company loans including upload to department systems. Verifies upfront fees reputed company on applications, and charges for credit reports and appraisals on reputed company non-reputed company loans to validate refunds to customer for unused fees. May assist in training new mortgage operations and sales associates on compliance guidelines, requirements, and processes.
• Audit - Assists with preparing files for audits by internal and reputed company auditors. Maintains compliance checklist for use reputed company reviewing loan files and update as necessary. Assists associates with compliance questions and issues, including researching answers with the Compliance Department and regulatory agency web sites.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree and 1 years of experience in Financial Services OR High School Diploma or GED and 5 years of experience in Financial Services
